There are plenty of restaurants that serve halal meat in Cappadocia, although most restaurants also serve alcohol. Depending on where you choose to stay or what your itinerary looks like, start off by checking these restaurants out. You are likely to find more alcohol-free restaurants in Nevsehir. Opening hours for the restaurants have not been provided, but they are all open from lunchtime (around midday onward) until late.

Nazar Börek Café, Goreme

Served traditional Turkish dishes including börek (it’s in the name). It is highly rated on TripAdvisor and features on Lonely Planet. The restaurant is also excellent value for money – expect to pay around only TL15 per person.

Seyyah Han

With a 5-star rating on TripAdvisor, this restaurant is not one to miss if you stop by Cavusin. Expect excellent customer service, delicious lamb shank and indulgent beef ribs.

Omurca Art Cave Café

Another family-run establishment, this café has been carved out of a fairy chimney and decorated with art and furniture built by the owner, Harun, who is also the chef!
