One of the final frontiers in international tourism, Uzbekistan quickly became the hottest new destination in 2019 when relaxed visa restrictions opened it up to many more travellers for the first time in decades.
Since then, images of Uzbekistan’s famous Timurid architecture have flooded social media, with millennials in particular flocking to have their photo taken in front of madrasas and mausoleums across the country.
